So called “soft skills” don’t get a lot of press. If you’re like me, you’re much more interested in some slick jQuery hack or something than how to manage people.
However, managing people (I’m realizing now) is really one of the most important parts of my job, and the one I’ve been having to focus the most on lately. Convincing people to see things the way you want them to see them, and getting them to make the right decisions subtly is definitely a skill I’m trying to hone. This article is helping me with that:
